Mediterranean Sea

This sea is located northeast of the European continent. The sea borders the Scandinavian peninsula, the plains of Central and Eastern Europe and Denmark. The waters flow towards Kattegat and the North Sea through Öresund, Big and Small Belts. In addition the Baltic Sea is connected to the North Sea by Kiel canal and with the White Sea with the White Sea canal.

The Gulf of Finland connects the Baltic Sea with St. Petersburg. The North Baltic Sea is located between Stockholm, southwest Finland and Estonia. The West and East Gotland Basin forms a major part of the Central Baltic Sea. Gulf of Riga is located between Riga and Saaremaa. Gdańsk Bay is located east of Hel Peninsula on the coast of Poland and west of Sambia in Kaliningrad Oblast.

Red Sea

The path to the ocean in the south passes through Babul Mandib and the Gulf of Aden while in the north there is the Sinai Peninsula and also the Suez Canal. This ocean in the widest place is 300 km and its length is 1,900 km with the deepest point of 2,500 m. The Red Sea is also a habitat for various aquatic and coral creatures.

The Persian Gulf

The Persian Gulf is an area that includes a special marine area that is an extension of the Gulf of Oman between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. This inland sea has an area of ​​233,000 km² connected with the Gulf of Oman in the east by the Strait of Hormuz, and its western end is characterized by the main river delta Arvand Rood, which carries water from Karun, Euphrates and Tigris. Its area is 241,000 km². Its length is 989 kilometers which connects mainly Iran from Saudi Arabia with the shortest divider of about 56 km in the Strait of Hormuz.

The length is 1,000 km, and the maximum area is 370 km. To the south, the coastline is low, while the coastal part of Iran is mountainous. with high temperatures, and a salt content of about 40%, which results from higher evaporation of fresh water supplies. The main source of fresh water is from Iraq, with Arvand Rud, meeting the Euphrates, Tigris and Karun Rivers.


Gulf of Aden

Aden Bay is located in the Indian Ocean, located between Yemen in the southern Arabian Peninsula and Somalia in Africa. In the northwest he is in contact with the Red Sea through the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

Aden Bay is an important shipping traffic for the Persian Gulf oil drilling making it very important for the world economy. This bay has many variations of fish, coral and other animals because of a little pollution. The main ports around here are Aden in Yemen and Berbera in Somalia.

The security here is very dangerous because both Yemen and Somalia are very unstable. Aden Bay is the main place for piracy, making it very dangerous to sail here. In addition, the Gulf of Aden is also prone to terrorists because of the bombing of the USS Cole and the French oil tanker also hit by terrorist attacks here.


Antarctic Region

The Antarctic region is an area that includes the special area of ​​the sea which is a continent covering the South Pole of the Earth, almost all of which are located on the Antarctic Circle and surrounded by several oceans between the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. With an area of ​​14.0 million km2 (5.4 million sq mi), Antarctica is the fifth largest continent after Eurasia, Africa, North America and South America. By comparison, Antarctica is almost twice the size of Australia. About 98% of the Antarctic is covered with ice which has an average thickness of at least 1.9 km3, the entire land area extends but in the northern reaches of the Antarctic Peninsula.
