Sopep (Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan)
SOPEP is an emergency plan for oil pollution at sea and according to MARPOL 73/78 these requirements are regulated in Annex I, all ships with 400 GT and above must have an oil countermeasure plan in accordance with the norms and guidelines set by the International Maritime Organization under the MEPC (Protection Committee Ocean Environment).
Whereas for oil transport vessels or cargo transportation that can cause oil pollution the minimum tonnage requirement of 150 GT must have SOPEP.

Sopep function in ship

Sopep function on board
- Sawdust is used to remove spills, oil droplets or oil on the surface / floor of the ship
